The ticket serves as a document entitling the holder to use services provided by Public transportation in Bratislava. It may be bought in ticket machines at bus stops, newsstands or DPB a.s. offices. The passenger is obliged to mark the ticket with a marking machine immediately upon boarding the vehicle. Unmarked ticket is considered not valid. Travelling in vehicles of Public transportation in Bratislava is subject to following rules:
- Tickets can be used on multiple trips with exception of 15 minute ticket for one trip
- Fare is paid outside of the vehicle
- The tariff is devided to time tariff (15 minute and 60 minute tickets for one trip, tourist tickets with validity of 24,48,72 and 168 hours)
- The tariff rate determines the fare (for passengers) and boarding fee (for animals and baggage)
- Prepaid tickets are in digital form
- Tickets with 60 minute validity have 90 minute validity during weekends and holidays
- Transportation of children under 6 years of age is free of charge
